French Bulldog guide

French Bulldogs (Frenchies) are compact companions known for expressive faces, steady affection, and a lifestyle that fits apartments and houses alike — as long as you plan for heat, breathing, and thoughtful exercise.

Temperament

Most Frenchies are people-oriented and playful without needing marathon runs. They do best with consistent routines, short training sessions, and plenty of human company. Early socialization still matters: new sounds, surfaces, and calm introductions help a puppy grow into a confident adult.

Health-focused breeding

At Quality French Bulldogs we prioritize temperament, structure, and health over volume. Our puppies are AKC registered and go home with their first set of shots. We breed as hobbyists — not a high-volume kennel.

  • Ask about parents, health testing, and what a breeder screens for
  • Plan for a veterinarian who knows brachycephalic breeds
  • Watch weight — extra pounds stress joints and breathing

Climate & daily life

Frenchies overheat easily. In warm weather, keep walks short, choose cooler hours, and never leave a dog in a parked car. Indoors, they’re happiest as part of the household rhythm — sofa time included.
